The end is near!

After many months of restoration, the Brigade Air C-172 is nearly complete!

There was a dedication ceremony for its return to service on June 9th at the hangar.

It will eventually be used to fly at camps designed to get kids interested in mission aviation. At the ceremony the camp leaders and board members said that they are seeing "kids" that went though the camps start to graduate and go into service with overseas mission groups. It is neat to see folks with the foresight to start training people at an early age even though the immediate results we long for are not immediate at all.

Here it awaits the ceremony.

Another almost finished shot.

The updated interior is very nice compared to the original 50 year old design, and it has a few "new" radios since 50 year old radios don't usually work to well.

Praise God for the completion (soon) of another project and the opening for another.

I wish I had copies of the before pictures but you'll just have to take my word for it, no mother I know would have let their child in it before the restoration. Now it is safe and sound to help bring up the next generations of missionary pilots.

Speaking of other projects, this Kingair 200 from Gospel Carriers International is in for some routine maintenance and inspections. I have had the oppurtunity to do work replacing "timed out" compononents on the landing gear and assisting in a few of the inspections. The experience I am gaining is priceless and learning to read a different manufacturers maintenance manual has proven to steepen the learning curve a bit.

Thanks to everyone making this possible and may God bless you.

Ben
