Hard working kids... well maybe

For science in homeschooling the kids are studying gardening , so after several weeks of planting vegetables and herbs we decided we really needed to make our garden plot so we can transplant them .

In Florida good soil for crabgrass is a luxury , but thankfully since we had a prior landscaper own our home we have nice soil in our yard as well as landscaping.
The kids digging up the crab grass, in some places it was like rolling up carpet.

Loading the wagon to put in the yard waste pile for the week.

Miles tugged and pulled on some grass as well and pulled so hard he ended up sitting down .

I know it may look like all I did was snap photos but the truth is I was the only one picking up grass 80 % of the time and then loading and unloading the wagon. I just knew I needed these photos for their home school portfolio so I wanted to manage to try to snap a few while they were actually in action.

Our finished garden plot.
The kids are learning to stencil in art for the month of November. So the assignment was to pick a scene and stencil it , Lucy wanted her scene to be outdoors.
Jonas was making a transportation scene but at the last moment thought the picture was missing a house as well.

Friday night MFI had one of their annual banquets to help raise support. Ben will probably update more on this in the newsletter or later on a blog post. Gracia Burnham ( a missionary to the Philippines who was held captive by terrorists for a year ) was the keynote speaker.

For those of you who think we just take pictures of our kids and  wonder what we now look like.
