Spring 2025

A quick update on us ... 

Ben - Has been flying all over the country the last few months. His farthest flight was to Phoenix a few weeks ago. He's also been juggling car transitioning as we had a car accident a few weeks ago. (We were fine but our Suburban not so much) A childhood friend of mine gave us a new car, so we are thankful. Our chicken coop tried burning down so he built a new one and the chickens are going to be getting an upgrade. 

Caroline - 

Started the camp garden with cool weather plants. Transplanted strawberry plants from a friend's property and planted 60 lbs if potatoes with the kids help. Will be planting the rest of the garden at the Spring Retreat in a few weeks.  Have a work group coming at the end of the month and they will help me transplant my herb/ flower bed. Other than that, I have been teaching part time at the microschool / being an uber driver to my five kids and juggling three kids' sports.  We have also been hosting a bible study at our house on Wednesday night and look forward to expanding its growth in the fall. Ben and I have also been teaching kindergarten Sunday School.  The older kids and I have also been planning to work at a Farmers Market on Friday afternoons this summer. 

Jonas- 

Finished scholars bowl in January. Got a new car given to me. Been helping my mom in the garden, doing a lot of homework, and participating in youth group and the camp activities.  I will be glad when school is over within a few weeks.  I have also snuck in fishing a couple times. I also play the piano for church and school whenever needed. Lucy and I performed at our church talent show a few weeks ago. 

Lucy-

Finished cross country season in the fall and started track season a few weeks ago.  Have had a lot of homework and chores to do. Been enjoying hanging out with friends any chance I get. Can't wait to be able to counsel for the first time this summer at camp. 

Miles- Finished up archery season by going to state last weekend. Started soccer season and enjoy that a lot. Ben chugging away at school but ready to be done. Been attending junior high youth group and look forward to my first summer of junior high camp. 

Silas - 

Been running around a lot and playing outside whenever I can. Been working on school even though I don't really want to. Been playing soccer and love that. Can't wait to swim in the camp pool very soon. 

Laney -

Been walking like crazy, trying to talk and love playing outside. The cats and ducks bring me pure delight and I can't wait to (help) mommy in the garden this summer. Everything is a first for me this summer since I can now walk.
