Jonas the handyman

You can't get anything by a little kid. I was working on the Fisher Troop Transport brakes Saturday and of course had an assortment of tools and other odds and ends scattered about.

Jonas, trying to be like daddy, got his tools and wanted to help. As flattered as I was, I didn't want to have him running around a van on jacks and getting brake dust all over himself. So, he had to stay inside.

That didn't deter him though. He decided to help Caroline cook...with his hammer.

Best I can piece it together (since it was cleaned up when I got in) when Caroline turned her back, he decided to hammer the sour cream that was in that nights mexican dish Caroline had just spent an hour and a half creating. Sour cream and little bits of refried beans flew all over the counter top, down the cabinets, and all over Caroline's back.

When she turned around to witness the carnage, Jonas hid the hammer behind his back so as to keep the actual source of mess concealed. Needless to say, after Caroline cleaned up that mess, there were more as Jonas smeared his hammer around on the counter top until she figured out what had happened and took his tool away.

I'm willing to guess that there won't be too many more episodes of "Cooking with Jonas." But that's okay, he's moved his attention to fishing.
