Old Age, Mid Life Crisis , or Genetics
Last week I was in the doctor office for my second appointment of the week. As we sat in the specialist office I leaned over to Ben and said , " Hey honey, what's happening to us ? We are the only one awake in this waiting room. " I then thought are we really getting that old that our bodies are falling apart , I hope not but we have enduring our fair share of health problems lately.
My health concerns started four months after having Miles, I started getting a dull ache under my right rib , The doctor then thinking it was gallbladder ordered a ultrasound and hida scan and both came back normal. There was a month that the dull ache subsided but then digestive problems started occuring. Then while at Ben's family for Christmas I started feeling a lump in my throat which then led to bloodwork and an ultrasound which revealed a couple thyroid cysts. After more bloodwork done last week that also came back normal . I will be going the the Ears , Nose, Throat doctor next week to have him look at my thyroid and most likely have a biopsy. Please pray that the cysts will not be cancerous. Also I will be going to a gastro for the right side pain , hopefully between the two we can close some unanswered doors
Ben on the other hand has been dealing with high blood pressure for the first time in his life , now you may be thinking what I mentioned above may give anyone high blood pressure but we had blood work done for him as well. His came back with negative results so we are working together to solve this problem .
In the midst of the trials we are enduring a few bright spots have happened. Jonas accepted Christ a few weeks ago and since then has been taking every opportunity to evangelize to Lucy, although at this point in time she is content in not going to Heaven, I told Jonas to let her be when I found him in her face while she was going potty trying to get her to make a decision. I am glad to know that as long as we have Jonas she won't be left alone about not making a decision someday.
The other bright spot is that Miles is toddling around the house , his new record is seven steps in a row but give him a few more days and I am sure he will be up to running around. He is our earliest walker yet and we are happy to see him happily toddling around . He is also our biggest cuddler which has been an encouragement to me as he will constantly come to me to give me his baby kisses.
