Long time ...

So I apologize for the delay in updating the blog , things have been up and down around here for the last few months and these things have kept us busy. So to please at least the grandparents here is a brief update...
Our first fall festival we had a pirate , princess, and a fireman. I made the fireman coat and pant stripes out of duck tape , worked like a charm.
At the second fall festival we had an army man,
 a fireman,
and a pink bunny. Have you ever tried dressing kids in Halloween costumes in 90 degrees weather, (Tinkerbell anyone?). Also we were able to go to fall festival that brought back many childhood memories for me , complete with a hay rack ride and a greased pig . At one point in time we were seeing Hallelujah and Praise Ye the Lord song in rounds on the hay rack ride. :)
We officially have another Legoer, he spent a good hour constructing this while we did our school work . He is finding his love of Duplos.
Jonas is  working on his writing, just took the picture to prove the point why it is good that we homeschool, the boy can not sit while he works for longer than 5 minutes.

The kids have decided they wanted to read a non fiction book about the first Thanksgiving. After reading everyday we have done an activity along with it. So far we have had a Mayflower constructed out of Legos , a rag doll made based on a book given to us by Grandma Fisher, and then Indian head dresses. I am shocked by how much the kids love history. They constantly spin our globe and discuss how we should visit certain landmarks in different areas, shocks even me how much they are picking up in Co op Geography. Today the discussion was how they were glad they did not live on the Equator because they would get the same amount of sun everyday.  I really enjoy the reading time with the kids so far we have read two little House on the Prarie books together, a Mouse and a Motorcyle and now Pilgrims and Thanksgiving on Thursday .

Ben and I are doing well and I will update about us in another blog... off to bath time for now.
